remove lamp module from projector

Replace the lamp module (LM) only if you feel competent and confident to do so.

If you have not already done so, please disconnect all cable connections. Place the projector, top down, upon a soft covering upon your preferred work surface (a cotton towel is ideal, this will minimize the risk of scratching or damaging the projector or work surface).

In the manufacturers handbook refer to the section relating to the replacement of the LM. Obtain the tools required and follow the instructions as written.

In the event that a manufacturers handbook is not available, the following suggestions are general to most projectors, and should assist you in the process of replacing the LM.

1 Remove lamp housing cover, with a screwdriver appropriate to the screw head used.

2 Locate and loosen / remove screws holding the LM. Use the pull bar attached to the LM to carefully withdraw LM from the projector.

3 If the LM has failed and has shattered, glass particles may have escaped from the sealed LM housing into the body of the projector and or into the optical block. We recommend that you send the projector to an approved service centre for cleaning. Contact Lampz.

4 Locate and remove air intake filter, clean filter and replace.

5 Fit replacement LM using reverse of procedure detailed above. Ensure air intake & LM covers are secure. When finished, test projector and reset the Lamp Hours (Expired or Remaining) Counter (see handbook for instructions) before reinstalling to ceiling mount.
